Heavy Forklifts
Hyundai is targeting a new customer base with their new array of heavy forklift trucks. A variety of businesses, from the concrete and natural stone industries, to the steel business, the transportation of heavy goods in the ports and the railway sector are all working with and depending on heavy duty machines. The efficiency and power provided by the units keep operational costs low and offer the best conditions for economical work. These machines can excel in the nearly all demanding environments.
Offering the required power on all of the large capacity units, the Cummins diesel engine ranges from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with the 6 cylinder engines. These types of forklifts could take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It can climb on steep slopes and rough terrain and also provides great acceleration.
To be able to select 1 of 2 driving modes, the operator could utilize a switch. When in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on heavy loads or difficult terrain. In the "STP" mode, the trucks are able to save a lot of fuel during light-duty work. Moreover, just by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a chosen speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is another fuel saving feature. The forklift's fully automatic transmission gently shifts through the gears, making the machine comfortable to use and simple to maneuver.
The well-ventilated cabin provides a spacious and comfortable working place. The cabin combines high performance with fatigue-free work. The powerful air conditioning and heating system helps ensure the operator has a comfortable interior. The cab was designed ergonomically to provide a bird's eye view of all of the controls, adding to the unit's overall safety. An MP3 player and a CD player put the finishing touches on providing the nice atmosphere which Hyundai equipment are supposed to have.
