Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy equipment offered by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial environments where the machine has to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Important features which this combination offers is over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Moreover, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls provide the machinery with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and up, out and over positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this type is the best in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms offer zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machinery are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they offer excellent torque, grade and terrain maneuverability and supreme power. The diesel engines are quiet in general as well. The majority of models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
