One of the biggest reasons is to prevent possibility of lawsuits if somebody is injured. Secondly, mishaps cut down on working time. Thirdly, goods and property could be damaged during accidents. Nearly all mishaps are attributed to staff who are not properly trained. Employers are responsible for making certain that all employees who are using the forklift are trained in risks and safety. Never let anybody on a forklift who isn't properly trained to operate the forklift. Your business must develop and post in a visible location all forklift safety measures.
Workers must have a positive attitude when they go through training, rather than doing it just because they are required to. You as the employer should help staff know the importance of correct training. Let them understand that they can kill or injure not just themselves, but other people, if they make mistakes. It is up to you to make certain that all your workers undertake training seriously.
