Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to lift personnel. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
